As we go into the post season for cross country, this is a great site to look to for information on the different sections in the State of California. There are ten sections in the state and the Southern Section is by far the largest with close to 600 schools. We compete in a division of roughly over 80 schools and only 7 can qualify for the state championships.

Bus Leaves at 11:30am from Esperanza and there WILL be a return bus

Race schedule:
2pm - Freshmen boys
3pm - Soph boys
4pm - JV boys
5pm - Varsity boys

Meet location: Arcadia County Park (Santa Anita and Huntington Dr)

League Finals will be held on Nov 2nd, Wednesday at Yorba Regional Park

Bus leaves Esperanza at 12:45pm and there will NOT be a return bus.

The Woodbridge Invitational will be held at Estancia High School in Costa Mesa. The event was held for 29 years at Woodbridge High School until the school had to build classrooms on the course. We are in the RED DIVISION and there will be NO BUS! Since I have not been to this meet since it has changed from Woodbridge High, let’s meet in front of the school. Sounds easy, right? Well, they are anticipating 180 schools for this event.

Let’s arrive to the front of the school at 5:30pm. Please allow for traffic conditions while traveling to Costa Mesa. Parking also could be an issue.

Here is our schedule:

7:20pm Freshman Boys:
Fry, Harris, Quezada, Reyes, Greenberg, Rodriguez, Wan, Robello, Welty

7:50 pm Sophomore Boys:
Mosqueda, Park, Roshdieh, De La Torre, Castro, Ellington, Worden, Gongloff, Hunter

8:55pm Junior Boys:
Nawfal, Llamas, K, Llamas, R, (French will run as a junior)

Then we are done, because we don’t have senior boys to run in the senior boys’ race

On Saturday Night our varsity boys will come back for the RATED RACE which is at 9:00pm

Bus will leave Esperanza parking lot at 6:15am

Race Times:

8am 9th graders
9am Varsity
10:30am 10th graders
11:30am Junior Varsity

The races vs. Upland at Yorba Regional Park will start anywhere between 3pm and 3:45pm due to heat. If it is over 95 degrees we will wait. The schedule will be F/S, JV and then Varsity. Each race will begin each 30 minutes

Starting tomorrow, August 16, Tuesday, practice will begin at 7am until further notice.  We will have practice Thursday at 7am as well as run the fun run in the evening @ Yorba Regional Park.

08/01/11 Ryan Bousquet Flyer - Race 08/18/11 - Race starts at 6pm at Yorba Regional Park. Registration/sign-in from 4:30-5:30pm. There will be a $5.00 race fee ($3 fee to enter the park). Two races: 3-mile race + 1-mile walk.

The Booster Meeting for ALL parents this Tuesday, July 19, at 7pm in Coach Green's room by the student parking lot.  Coach has a silver 4Runner that will be parked right outside his room.  We will discuss fees, the summer schedule, Mammoth Camp, and the season.  Please attend!!

The Esperanza team store is now open. At the JL TEAM STORE site, you can use your own credit card to order REQUIRED team uniform items as well as training grear. Everyone MUST get their order in by midnight (PST) JULY 25th. If you miss the store closing date, you will need to order your uniform as an individual. For individual orders, pricing and shipping will be different than a team purchase.
